Volunteering with integratedliving

integratedliving provides aged care, respite and disability services to people in regional and rural communities through a range of Commonwealth and State programs funded to provide specific outcomes.

With the assistance of volunteers integratedliving is able to provide additional support for clients.

We have clients ready and waiting for your support.

integratedliving is committed to providing ongoing training for our volunteers, which could include assisting you to gain your Senior First Aid Certificate.

Types of support you could offer

In home social support
Provide companionship, support and supervision to clients living in their own home, allowing their full time family carer to have a break (respite). You may enjoy watching a movie, reading the local paper and reminiscing with the client.

Out of home social support
Provide support and supervision to clients to access their local community, for example, volunteers go with clients to a coffee shop, catch a movie on the big screen, go for a walk in the park or enjoy a visit to the library. you could also help young people with a disability improve their literacy, numeracy and life skills.

Meal assistance
Assist a client to heat and plate a nutritious meal, encourage them to eat and converse with the client.

Meals on wheels delivery in the Upper Hunter
Deliver meals to clients in their own home.

Transport assistance
Volunteers may assist with transporting clients to medical and allied health appointments. Volunteers escort clients from their home, in and out of their vehicle, safely into an appointment and return them home.

Work experience
Do you want to gain experience in working in the community care sector? Then volunteer 1 day a week for 3 months with one of our experienced care professional and assist the clients with tasks of daily living

Volunteer screening and recruitment

If you would like to become a volunteer, integratedliving require you to fill out a Volunteer Application Package.

Our Volunteers Coordinator will contact you regarding your application and opportunities that may be available for you.

Our screening process will include a Working with Children's check, a Federal police check, driving record and other checks as deemed necessary for the particular volunteer role. Any screening undertaken by integratedliving must comply with State and Federal legal requirements.

Suitable applicants will attend an induction program which may include being a buddy with a staff member to providing services unassisted.
